Classic Online Services
The HPRCC Classic Online Services computer system allows users access to the entire AWDN data set, as well as the National Weather Service Cooperative Weather Network. This system has been designed primarily for those who need to access the data on a regular basis and would like to retrieve the data manually from their own computer.
All users of the HPRCC Classic Online Services must abide by the policy on the use of data and accept the disclaimer on the use of data.
HPRCC Classic Online Services is a fee-based data retrieval system.
You may request time on the system be granted to you if the account is to be used only for classroom use or you are a High Plains Regional Climate Center cooperator. You must follow the grant process outlined by the HPRCC.

Requirements for connecting.
- an account and password issued by the HPRCC. An account can be requested by contacting us.
- Access to the World Wide Web using a recent Web Browser. Browser must be HTML 1.1 compliant.
CLIMOD - CLimate Information for Management and Operational Decisions
The CLimate Information for Management and Operational Decisions (CLIMOD) system provides clients with web access to a vast amount of data and information in the ACIS database. Some examples of products available through the CLIMOD system include: daily temperature and precipitation observations, normals and records for several thousand sites around the country and monthly data summaries. Additional derived products, such as growing, heating and cooling degree day accumulations, that are useful for planning and managing climate-sensitive operations, are also available through the CLIMOD system.
The CLIMOD system is geared toward users who need climate data on an ongoing monthly or daily basis. Users who have a one-time or infrequent need for weather or climate data should contact the HPRCC directly.
CLIMOD access is only available on a subscription basis. Read the CLIMOD Usage Policy for more information on how to subscribe.

- Temperature, precipitation and snowfall observations, normals and records for a day
- Daily temperature, precipitation and snowfall data for a month
- Daily data lister
- Daily degree day listing
- Monthly time series summary
- Precipitation summary and historical context
- Monthly and seasonal temperature and precipitation distributions
- Activity Planner (one day for a period of years)
- Frost Statistics (time series of first and last temperature occurrences)
- Frost Summary (distribution of first and last freeze dates)
- 1971-2000 Monthly temperature, precipitation and degree day normals
- Seasonal ranking for a period of years
- Multiple station summarized temperature and precipitation data
- Multiple station summarized snowfall and snow depth data
HPRCC supports a three-tiered national climate services support program.
The partners include: National Climatic Data Center, Regional Climate Centers, and State Climate Offices.
