The data in this table were compiled at the High Plains Regional Climate Center
from several sources including the Storm Prediction Center, National Weather Service,
and the National Climatic Data Center.

There is a 6-month delay in receiving the finalized tornado
data for the U.S. (and Nebraska). The Storm Prediction Center
analyzes each and every report of a tornado to ensure its authenticity and
to avoid duplications that may occur from multiple reports of the same tornado.

The Year 2005 tornado data will not be available until about July 1, 2006.
