November
25, 2004 Snow Cover Missouri to Illinois
Note information below the satellite
image
Image is a GOES East CONUS satellite
image provided by NASA.
The area of snow cover extends
from near Kansas City to northeastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana.
Note the dark outline of the
Illinois river in the center of the snow covered area of Illinois.
There are several
small bands of clouds stretching
across Missouri from north to south and partially obscuring the
snow cover in Missouri. Also,
note the snow cover appears more gray in Chicago due to non snow covered
areas (streets, etc.) that are
found in more urbanized areas.
