Time refers to the beginning of each hour, (CST) i.e. 8 AM = 8:00-8:59 AM CST 

There have been over 2,300 reported tornadoes in Nebraska during the period 1950-2006

The above graph shows the total number of tornadoes during that time period during each hour of the day. 

The peak frequency is at 1700 hours (5 PM Central Standard Time or 6 PM Daylight Savings Time)

84% of all Nebraska tornadoes have occurred between 2 PM and 9:59 PM.
73% of all Nebraska tornadoes have occurred between 3 PM and 8:59 PM.
64% of all Nebraska tornadoes have occurred between 4 PM and 8:59 PM.
42% of all Nebraska tornadoes have occurred between 5 PM and 7:59 PM.

The year 2001 saw the first and only tornado observed during the 8:00-8:59 AM CST hour.
