These images were from the 4 May 03 Storm to hit Bellevue, NE.  They were photographed by Paul Demmert of the Air Force Weather Agency.
Paul wrote:  All pictures were taken  at approximately 1700 CST.  Location was Bellevue, approximately 2 blocks north of the intersection of Hwy 370 and 42nd Street.  Note that all of the large (greater than 1.5 inch diameter) hailstones were relatively flat, like a hockey puck.  Stones 1 inch and smaller were generally spherical.  Also most of the large hailstones I found were single stones, rather than aggregate of
many smaller ones.  Many of the stones have annular rings showing the growth pattern of the stones.  The largest stones I found were in the 2-2.25 inch diameter range.
