Lincoln Seasonal Snowfall Totals

The standard 30-year climatological normal, 1971-2000 is  25.9 inches.

Each annual snowfall "winter" season is plotted in the above graph starting with 1899-1900 and ending with 2006-2007.

Snowfall can be analyzed in annual periods starting in January and ending in December,
however it is the climatological standard to use a snowfall year beginning in July and ending in June.

In this manner, for example, the snowfall of December 2006 is examined along with January 2007, which is the same winter season.  If January 2006 was included with December 2006 they are two different winter seasons.

Most snowfall, 1914-15 Winter season, 59.6 inches.
Least snowfall, 1967-68, Winter season, 6.7 inches.

all seasons (1899-1900 through 2006-2007) average =  26.7 inches
1971-2000 seasonal average =  25.9 inches
recent 10 seasons, 1996-1997 through 2006-2007 = 31.2 inches
