On June 13, 2000 several supercell thunderstorms quickly formed early in the afternoon in Lancaster County and in southeastern Nebraska.  As these rapidly developed, they began to show rotation at the mid-levels on Doppler radar and various tornado warnings began to be issued.

Tornadoes touched down in Cass, Dodge and Otoe counties in Nebraska.

Hail the size of golf balls sliced through southeast Lincoln as well as several other southeast Nebraska communities.
