Chris Jepson of Granite Falls looks over the scene at Peterson Farm, Inc., justwest of town, where a tornado touchdown on Doug and Connie Peterson farm. Connie and her son, Aaron, were hiding in the basement when the storm passed through Granite Falls, and her husband, Doug, was golfing at a nearby club. No one in the family was hurt, but they lost four cows, their farm house, barns and silos. The Peterson famiy has owned the farm since 1918.

Debris is scattered everywhere and a roof is issing from a house in Granite Falls, Minn., one day after a torndao struck the western part of the city. Fourteen people were injured and one man killed, his body found near the overturned green pickup, according to the sheriff's office.

A mattress is suspended in a broken tree above a rooftop in Granite Falls, Minn.  after a tornado swept through the town on Tuesday.  As many as five funnel clouds were spotted at one time.
