| A line of severe thunderstorms pushed through
Lancaster County between midnight and 3 AM on Thursday July 20, 2000.
Golf ball size hail driven by strong winds broke many north facing windows in the community of Firth Nebraska at approximately 2:10 AM. There are also links to the storm warnings issued at the time of the event and radar estimated precipitation amounts for eastern Nebraska as well as within the city of Lincoln. The Lincoln Amateur Radio Club sent volunteers to the community of Firth, NE to provide communications and damage assessment assistance at dawn on July 20.
