HAIL STORM POUNDS AREA SOUTH OF LINCOLN
July 20, 2000
A line of severe thunderstorms pushed through Lancaster County between midnight and 3 AM on Thursday July 20, 2000.

Golf ball size hail driven by strong winds broke many north facing windows in the community of Firth Nebraska at approximately 2:10 AM.

The Lincoln Amateur Radio Club sent volunteers to the community of Firth, NE to provide communications and damage assessment assistance at dawn on July 20.
