Hailstorm wreaks havoc in Firth area

Crop growers from the Firth area are invited to a meeting at 9:30 a.m. this morning with Lt. Gov. Dave Maurstad to talk about crop losses from Thursday's early morning storm. 

The informational meeting will be at the AF Agronomy Fertilizer Plant 6 miles east of the junction of U.S. 77 and Nebraska 41. Beside Maurstad, there will be representatives from the USDA's Farm Service Agency, insurance representatives and agronomists attending. It is being sponsored by the AF Agronomy, Firth Co-op and Novartis Seed.
