Influence of Clouds and Fog on Observed Temperatures

Note the bright white area in far eastern Nebraska and over into Iowa and Missouri.
This area extensive thick clouds and fog blocking out the warmth of the sun.
Note the much warmer temperatures to the west of this cloud and foggy area.
Temperatures were up to 30 degrees warmer in the cloud free region.
