December 10, 2003 The Day After the Storm--
Numerous Stranded Trucks and Cars along I-80
Between Waverly (east Lincoln) and Greenwood
December 10, 2003:  ©K. Dewey, High Plains Regional Climate Center. Looking westbound, this truck was
headed west and wound up facing east after doing a complete 180 degree jackknife.  There was no damage to the semi.

This truck safely made it to the median is being pulled out by a wrecker.

not do well after crashing into the median as noted by the torn apart cab. IN THE DISTANCE
IS ANOTHER TRUCK ON ITS SIDE IN THE MEDIAN.

today at 10 AM as the van skidded out of control due to a glaze on the highway from blowing snow.

semi also did a 180 degree turn before flipping on its side.

entrance to I-80, at a car that slid off the entrance ramp yesterday.

December 10, 2003:  ©K. Dewey, High Plains Regional Climate Center. Looking north from the south
side of the road, 3 cars are being pulled up out of the north ditch and one remains to be pulled out of the median.

car on the shoulder facing the wrong direction and a farm truck stuck in the ditch.

ditch on the east bound side of I-80.

Looking west at the Greenwood exit, a SUV is the ditch near the entrance ramp to the right and a white van is in the median.
