Banquet honoring Dr. Chuck Doswell
Friday Evening, October 6, 2000
Hosted by the Omaha/Offutt AFB AMS Chapter
and the UNL Student AMS Chapter
The banquet was the opening event in the Central Plains Severe Weather Symposium 2000 Guest speaker Chuck Doswell visits with Brian Smith, Omaha NWS on his right and Dr. Mary Cooper on his left.
President Kirth Pederson, Omaha/Offutt AMS Chapter and
President, Jeremy Wesley, UNL Student AMS Chapter		 A crowd of over 150 people were in attendance for this historic event of a joint Omaha/Offutt AMS Chapter and UNL Student AMS Chapter event.
Dr. Doswell's presentation was titled "What We Learned From the May, 3, 1999 Tornado Outbreak in Oklahoma". After his presentation, Chuck answered questions from those in attendance at the event.
Following the presentation by Dr. Doswell, officers of the Omaha/Offutt Chapter of the AMS, officers of the UNL student AMS Chapter and keynote speakers for CPSWS2000 pose for a photo.
