U.S. Temperature and Precipitation Update

Much of the western U.S. has of the region has experienced wetter than
normal precipitation for the first half of the year.  The southwestern U.S.  has
areas with precipitation exceeding 200% of normal for the first six months of the year.
Much of the U.S. has averaged above normal in temperatures for the first
six months of the year.
