New AWDN Stations Added in Wyoming
Encampment 5NE, Douglas 5NW and Elk Mountain now a part of AWDN network.
Source/Author: Christy Carlson - High Plains Regional Climate Center 06/20/07

The Encampment 5NE station is equipped with a heated tipping bucket for measuring snow-water liquid equivalent precipitation. This is a huge leap forward for AWDN stations.
The data from these stations became available to online users in the beginning of June 2007. Thank you to the North Platte Decree Committee (NPDC) for sponsoring these stations. If you are interested in sponsoring an AWDN station in your area, please contact either Christy Carlson (402) 472-6709 or Dr. Ken Hubbard (402) 472-8294.
