According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, the High Plains Region remained mostly dry this past week. Due to the dryness few changes in drought conditions occurred in the Region.

In the Region as a whole, only the abnormally dry (D0) category was changed this week, all other categories remained the same. D0 was improved 1% this week and now totals 51.42% of the Region. Other category totals can be seen in the table below.

The states that did have slight changes this week were Kansas and North Dakota. In central Kansas, D0 was trimmed back by less than 1% and now totals 47.74% of the state. In northeastern North Dakota, D0 conditions were almost cut in half, from 14.37% to 7.99%.

Again, all other states in the Region had drought conditions equal to last week.
