Summer 2011 Records

This was a record setting summer for many locations in the High Plains Region. Areas of Colorado and Kansas had average temperatures which were up to 8 degrees F above normal. Numerous locations were ranked in the top 5 warmest summers on record. Due to highly variable precipitation in the summer, some locations ranked in the top 5 wettest summers, while others ranked in the top 5 driest.
